BOVEY Reunion at " The Homeplace " on Saturday, October 13, 1906
To simplify research and become more familiar with my ancestors, I developed an identification method for photographs (see Identification pages below). Several of my direct and other related ancestors are in these pictures.
Direct Ancestors:
*great great great grandmother
Mary Ann (Cost) Bovey February 2, 1834 - October 23, 1913
*great great great grandmother
Mary Elizabeth (Doub) Hammond December 7, 1832 - December 1, 1908
*great great grandfather
Luther Albert Hammond November 22, 1854 - February 20, 1907
*great great grandmother
Laura Elizabeth (Bovey) Hammond June 30, 1853 - March 3, 1929
*great grandfather
Roscoe Howard Hammond March 8, 1893 - January 24,1984
There is strong reason to believe that Luther Hammond and Laura Bovey were neighbors before marriage.
Click on this interesting Civil War related link to learn about my great great great grandfather Rev. Daniel R. Bovey (May 25, 1827 - December 5, 1897) and his farm house located behind the family in these pictures.

This photo was given to me by my neighbor and current Keedysville Historical Society president, Sue Gemeny. After a conversation with Sue about my deep roots in the Keedysville area and my direct Bovey connection, she mentioned having a Bovey Reunion photo and kindly gave me a copy. I labeled this photo "#1" for reference purposes. There are 41 people in this photo.
This Identification page for photo #1 has not been 100% confirmed. Correction suggestions and or additional information are welcomed.
Not long after receiving the photo from my neighbor I started an ancestry correspondence with my cousin. She sent me this different reunion photo which has 31 people compared to the 41 people in photo #1.
This Identification page for photo #2 has not been 100% confirmed. Correction suggestions and or additional information are welcomed.
